What major topic I expect at work
I expect the two dominat topics in IT in the near future to be:
It's not that I hope to limit my interest onto these two subjects - but they are what I expect to be the most imminent themes and there I expect most job chances.
Therefor I strive to get deeper into these themes. LDAP and AD are the topics I've
focussed on lately.
In addition, I believe IPS to be of predominant interest for many companies very soon.
I believe IPS systems to substitute classical content security in parts.
Snort, Sourcefire and TippingPoint are the products I've so far come in touch with.
I intend to get into this a bit deeper in the near future.
I've programmed a management system for a host based IDS for one of my customers which
is beeing deployed there since four years now. Nagios and OESP the the platforms which I
could already collect some experience with.
A potential employer would be particularly interesting for me if their interests
would concide with mine in theses fields.
